Fear Has No Place Here: Embracing the New Year with Faith and Confidence

As we step into the New Year, let us choose to trust in Jesus. No matter the storms or challenges that may come our way; Life may will undoubtedly bring us rain—times of difficulty or uncertainty—but we can find peace in knowing that Jesus is with us through it all.

Walking Boldly into the New Year with Faith

As you welcome the New Year, take this opportunity to renew your faith in God’s promises. The New Year is not about trying to control every aspect of your life; between failed diets and other broken promises made to yourself. Rather, it’s about trusting God to lead you toward His purposes for you.

Walking with faith and confidence means acknowledging that God has already prepared the way, and you can rest in the security of His love and guidance, especially in the midst of your own doubtfulness.

In Hebrews 10:35-36, we are reminded, "So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what He has promised." This verse encourages us to remain confident in God’s plans, even when, especially when, we face trials. The reward for faith and perseverance is not just earthly success, but a deeper, more fulfilling relationship with God. Imagine a best friend who never leaves your side, who is your smile when you frown, who confidently walks beside you on those darker days, but even more joyful so… on those great days.  Think about it – Whom else do we wish to share fantastic news, or happy times with?  Our best friend, our spouse, our families.  Jesus is everything and more rolled into one and available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week..no matter where you go.

Embracing the New Year with Confidence in God’s Plan

The New Year is not just a time of personal resolutions but a time to surrender our hearts to God and trust that He will guide our steps. As we step into the New Year, it’s important to remember that God has a plan for our lives (Jeremiah 29:11). This truth should fill us with immense confidence and peace. We do not need to fear the unknown because we know that God is in control of every situation.

Overcoming Fear with Faith: Leaning on God’s Strength

One of the most powerful ways to overcome fear is by leaning on God’s strength, not our own. In our own strength, we may feel weak or uncertain. We struggle with heart vs logic, a constant pulling battle.  But with God, all things are possible. Philippians 4:13 assures us, "I can do all this through Him who gives me strength." This verse is a reminder that when we place our trust in God, He empowers us to face whatever comes our way. As we grow in our Faith and our personal relationship with God we will learn to hear His voice, while weeding out the challenges of our own, and the ever-nagging societal voice that is designed to be mentally detrimental. The voice and strength of God will soon become our own.

Remember, fear doesn’t have to dictate your future. With God’s strength, you can overcome any obstacle and confidently move forward, knowing that He is with you every step of the way.

This New Year let's embrace the promise that with Jesus, we are never alone.  His faithfulness will guide us toward a future filled with hope and joy. Trust in Jesus, and let the rain be a reminder of His unshakable presence and grace.
