You've Guac This! Easy Guacamole Recipe
I have to admit, before I realized guacamole was *so* easy…I mean, like embarrassingly easy, I'd have no problem shelling out a few bucks for a container. Another embarrassing move. Seriously.
I can easily say my hubby wolfs this down like there is no tomorrow and when I only make a *bit* he relentlessly just keeps asking for more. Why? Because our husbands are our children, that's why :))…Okay. And because this easy guacamole is sooo delicious!
Alright, chances are you probably have most, if not all these ingredients in your kitchen already. Which is great because, chances are you were seeking out something easy for your guacamole fix 😉
*If you *have* to share your guac, double this recipe up!
Makes Approx 1/2 Cup
1 Ripe Avocado
1 Clove Garlic, Mashed
1 Small Red Onion, finely diced
Sea Salt or Kosher Salt – pinch
1/2 Tbsp Cilantro, roughly chopped
Squeeze of Lime, or about 1/4 tsp Lime Juice
1 Plum/Roma (any fresh tomato you have on hand), seeded and diced
In a bowl with a fork (or with your mortar and pestle – which works very nice!), mash together your avocado, garlic clove and pinch of sea salt. You can smoosh until fine or leave a little chunky (I like a few chunks in my guacamole) – But make sure the salt is blended!
Put your avocado mixture into a bowl and toss in your red onion, tomato, cilantro and give a little squeeze of lime on top (or add in your 1/4 tsp Lime Juice).
Gently mix together, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 30 minutes, allowing ingredients to blend nicely and guacamole to get a nice cool temperature.
Serve with your favorite nachos and enjoy!!
*Kick it up a notch!
If you'd like to add a little *heat* to your guac, add in about 1/8th tsp (or more if you looove it haha) of your favorite hot sauce or a dash of cayenne pepper!
