I just love snack time!! These dijon-maple peanuts are the perfect treat to have kickin' around the house or also lovely to have out when friends and family stop by this holiday season. It's crazy how just a few ingredients can bring such a delicious flavor.
I digress. You all know my loathe for babbling when it comes to blogs, ramblings and recipes haha.
So onto these yummy peanuts..
You Will Need:
1 Cup plain, unsalted, unroasted peanuts
1/8 tsp salt
1 tsp Dijon Mustard
1 Tbsp Maple Syrup
Note: If you want to vamp up that "kick", add a little more dijon. but not enough to offset or overpower the maple syrup. The maple syrup is what will give that nice, crunchy coating to your peanuts.
► Preheat oven to 300° F
► Line a baking sheet with parchment paper (Not wax paper. For the love of all that is holy do NOT make that mistake…)
In a bowl mix your peanuts, salt, dijon and maple syrup, making sure everything is coated well and evenly.
Put into your 300° F oven for 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes, give the peanuts a quick stir
Place back into the oven for an additional 3 minutes
Make sure to watch very closely as your nuts will burn fast (haha).
You're looking for a beautiful golden color like the pic I have. It is not altered in any way.
Remove peanuts and allow to cool. Enjoy!
I keep these stored, in the fridge in an anchor hocking glass bowl (the round ones w/ lid).
