When it comes to finding a natural cure for those sore muscles, finding the right combination that works for you can be frustrating.
I've put together a citrusy and refreshing combination that works amazing (for me) and hope this will benefit you too!
* Disclaimer: This is a combination which personally works for me. Essential Oils, although "natural" are very powerful and can be harmful to the system if overused (a little goes a very long way). Some oils (such as peppermint and eucalyptus) can be harmful to those with specific/serious health conditions (such as diabetes, heart and lung) – Every immune system is different. I call this combo Citrus-Dreams because it's just that – Citrusy and…Dreamy haha. No, but seriously – This is such a nice, relaxing combination of coconut and essential oil, you're going to feel amazing during and after application!
Okay, so let's get to it. This recipe is super simple and I love having it on hand for those days when my sciatic nerve and back pain is really flaring up. This combo also makes an awesome rub for sore calves, necks and shoulders. Basically it's all around delightful for anywhere on your body 🙂
2 Tbsp Coconut Oil
1 Drop Spearmint Essential Oil
2 Drops Orange Sweet Essential Oil
Give a very thorough mix and put into a sealed container.
Alternatively, you can melt this down quickly on low heat, jar and refrigerate.
Coconut oil should be stored in a very cool and dry place. I keep mine in the fridge and take out about 10-15 minutes before use, works perfect!
